SDPA is a volunteer organization, serving all paralegals in our diverse community. We strive to eliminate bias and enhance diversity within the legal community and beyond and actively foster inclusion and belonging within our membership, programming, and collaborations. SDPA is committed to bringing together the best and brightest individuals, with a range of ideas, professional and personal experiences, and world views to most effectively address the challenges faced by our members, paralegals, and the legal community. We recognize the power of diversity to grow and improve our organization. We welcome, respect, and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all areas of our organization, as well as with our members, vendors, educational and legal partners, paralegal students, and the community at large. SDPA encourages communication and discussion of these issues to promote the necessary shifts within our organization and workplace cultures. By being our authentic selves, we can confront biases within the legal community and promote honest and open communication in which everyone feels heard and accepted.
