Terms of Use. The San Diego
Paralegal Association’s website content (sometimes referred to
herein as “Site”) is owned and provided by San Diego Paralegal
Association (hereinafter “SDPA”). Your use of this Site is
subject to the terms and conditions as they are contained in
this document and constitutes your acceptance and agreement to
be bound by all of the terms and conditions contained herein. We
reserve the right to change the terms and conditions at any time
without notice, and you should review this document frequently.
Your use of this Site is limited to personal and noncommercial
use unless other uses are expressly granted to you. You may
download or make a single copy of material from this Site for
your personal and noncommercial use. You may not copy,
distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, re-post or otherwise
display this Site’s content for public or commercial purposes
without the express written permission of SDPA.
Intellectual Property. Unless
otherwise indicated, this Site and its contents (including, but
not limited to, all text, photographs, images, video, and audio)
are the exclusive property of SDPA and are protected by

Security. We accept user
comments, on-line employment applications/resumés, and other
documents only from Web browsers that permit communication
through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This means you’ll
be unable to inadvertently submit an online order through an
unsecured connection. Please note that any information sent to
us by any means other than one of the built-in forms on our Site
(such as an e-mail message generated manually by you) will not
necessarily be sent through an encrypted or secured connection.
Privacy. SDPA is committed to
respecting and protecting the privacy of visitors and members to
our Site as well as the privacy of users of the Site. As
part of our commitment to protecting your privacy online, we
have written this policy to help you understand how we gather
information about users of the Site, how we use the information
we gather and what steps we take to protect the information you
share with us.
For visitors, we've structured the Site so
that, in general, you can visit us on the Web without
identifying yourself or revealing any personal information.
Moreover, if and when you choose to provide
us with personally identifiable information (any information by
which you can be identified), you can be assured that it will
only be used to support your membership with SDPA.
What information do we collect?
When you sign up for SDPA membership, you provide us you’re
your contact. Contact information typically includes your name,
address, email address and phone number. We do not retain any
credit card or other payment information.
We manage information with regard to your
account status, membership selections, and bulletin board
postings. In addition, we may store customers' electronic mail
and other communications as a necessary incident to the
transmission and delivery of those communications.
We may also ask you for personal
information at other times, for example when you enter a
sweepstakes, contest or other promotion.
How do we use this information?
We use the contact information you provide us to provide or
enhance our service to you. We use payment information for
payment processing purposes only.
Notice To/ Regarding Children Under the
Age of 13. SDPA does not knowingly collect or solicit
personally identifiable information from or about children under
13 except as permitted by law. If we discover we have received
any information from a child under 13 in violation of this
policy, we will delete that information immediately. If you
believe SDPA has any information from or about anyone under 13,
please contact us at the address listed below.
Use of Cookies. To enhance
your experience with SDPA, our web host and their servers may
use “cookies” to store user’s preferences. Cookies are
messages sent between SDPA and your browser which are saved as
text files on your computer. Cookies, by themselves, do
not tell us your e-mail address or other personally identifiable
information unless you choose to provide this information to us
by, for example, requesting email alerts or additional
information. However, once you choose to furnish the site
with personally identifiable information, this information may
be linked to the data stored in cookies.
Users may customize their browsers to not
accept cookies. If you choose to not have your browser
accept cookies from the SDPA Site, you will still be able to
view the text on our Web pages. Even if “cookies” are
disabled, it shouldn’t make any difference in our service
offerings on the Site.
Policy Governs Use; Changes to Privacy
Policy. The terms of this policy will govern the use
and any information collected while it is in place. SDPA
reserves the right to change this policy at any time by posting
revisions on the Site. Changes to this privacy policy will
be effective at the time they are posted to the Site. This
privacy policy is not intended to, and does not, create any
contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
